Upto 80% of the worlds blindness is avoidable. Avoidable Blindness is defined as blindness which could be either treated or prevented. Although there are many other causes of vision impairment, Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital considers Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Degenerative Myopia and Glaucoma as the major target disease areas to have the greatest possible impact on vision loss.
